BUSH

“We’re having a baby!” said my clients, who charged me with turning their not-quite-ugly duckling of an extra room into a swan. I took them literally and got started on what would be a nursery/guest room.

Not knowing the gender of the baby was no problem. I chose a soothing color palette of pale moss green tones with a hint of soft butter yellow for accents. I then installed imported English wallpaper in a unique illustrative pattern featuring woodland creatures. This design became not only the focal point of the room, but the inspiration for all the furnishings, accessories and art to come. The muted tones carried over nicely into the guest area, for which I found the most comfortable, easy to pullout sofa bed that will be enjoyed by many who come to visit Mom and Dad and their new addition. I was so delighted to have been a part of creating a space that will be loved and remembered as their daughter grows up. Yes, she has arrived. And, is beautiful.
